The AFS Piedmont Chapter’s Mission is to strengthen our metalcasting industry within our region. We will accomplish this through the utilization of industry expert training and technology transfers to assist our members learn best-practice methods to effectively manage their production operations, improve quality, expand leading edge technologies, and profitably market their products and services.

The AFS Piedmont Chapter Board of Directors held the annual planning meeting in June where we developed the program and schedule for the upcoming 2025 - 2026 year. You can check out the updated meeting schedule here.
Registration for the March Meeting on Safety & Environmental at Virginia Tech, March 18th is now open. See the meeting notice here.
The January Meeting on Sand, Resins, Coatings, Reclamation, & Equipment Maintenance in Myrtle Beach, SC was well attended. Technical presentations were given by Steve Schilling, Stan Forehand, Ben Thomas, Ricky Torrence, Anthony Helms, Seth Reich, and Rick Smith. We were also able to tour Aalberts’ Investment Casting and No-Bake Steel Foundry in Conway, SC.

If you are interested in helping out in any way, we are always eager to get more members involved.
